During its Version 1.4 reveal, HoYoverse confirms game improvements also launching forZenless Zone Zerofor PlayStation 5 Pro owners. Anticipation for version 1.4 ofZenless Zone Zerohas continued to rise, and it’s clear that HoYoverse is using this upcoming update as an almost soft reboot of the game as it not only adds in more highly anticipated content, including ending the overarching narrative, but also including plenty of quality of life updates as well.
For many fans, the biggest partZenless Zone Zero’s Version 1.4 updateare the limited-time banners, which will include two characters at the same time for the entire length of the update. First up is Hoshimi Miyabi, the current Void Hunter, who is a Frost Anomaly Agent that is adept at using her sword and hitting for big damage. The second agent, Electric Attacker Asaba Harumasa can switch between bow and blade. Better yet, he’ll be available for free as a thank you from the developer.
Even with another successful game on its hands, HoYoverse continues to make improvements to the product as a whole. Already, fans have seen new content added and adjustments made to things which may not have worked as well as hoped, includingreducingZenless Zone Zero’s TV Mode gameplay. In terms of further improvements, HoYoverse has great news for PS5 Pro owners as the studio confirmed major features like ray tracing are finally being implemented.

With Ray Tracing,Zenless Zone Zerowill have much improved reflections for things like mirrors, water surfaces, puddles on the ground, and other metallic or glossy style surfaces. HoYoverse also confirmed they’ve taken advantage of thePlayStation 5 Pro powerto further improve rendering light in darker areas, adding occlusion effects between objects, while also supporting HDR and VRR for better rendering and tessellation.
While not specifically for PS5 Pro users, HoYoverse also confirmed they’ve made improvements to the game for all PlayStation users. Specifically, theDualSense’s haptic feedback abilitieshave been taken advantage of so Zenless Zone Zero players will better feel the game while playing. Vibration feedback has been improved for different combat actions like Basic or Special attacks, which allow players to feel a more nuanced tactile experience while playing.
