The contents of Limited Run’s physical collector’s edition ofYakuza 3 Remasteredhave been revealed as it goes live for pre-order.Yakuza 3was originally released back in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and has since been remastered for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

A few months ago, Limited Run Games announced it’ll be releasing physical copies of all seven titles in theoriginal Kazuma KiryuYakuzaseries, including the prequelYakuza 0. Each game has its own collector’s edition packed with goodies, and is being released one-by-one in chronological order, starting withYakuza 0, and ending withYakuza 6: The Song of Life.Yakuza 0andYakuza Kiwami, the remake of the original 2005 game, have already been sold out on Limited Run’s website, andYakuza Kiwami 2will only be available for another few days.

AsYakuza Kiwami 2’s window of availability begins to close, Limited Run and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have gone ahead and revealedYakuza 3 Remastered’s Classic Edition as it becomes available to pre-order. While the standard physical edition costs just $35, the Classic Edition is $75, and includes the physical game soundtrack, a miniature acrylic standee offranchise legend Kazuma Kiryu, a Yoshida Batting Center Pin, and character cards all bundled up in a fancy looking premium black box complete with a dragon printed on it. Fans have until January 5 to grab their copy of theYakuza 3remaster, which aims to ship in June 2025.

Yakuza 3 Remastered Limited Run Classic Edition

Judging by Limited Run’s rollout of these first fourYakuzagames so far, it can be assumed that the next entry in the series,Yakuza 4 Remastered,may go up for pre-order in the opening days of January asYakuza 3 Remastered’s window closes. If the monthly cadence holds firm, that would putYakuza 5 Remasteredup in early February, and the final game in Limited Run’sYakuzaseries drops,Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, up in early March. As for the third mainline entry in the legendary action game franchise,Like a Dragonseries director Masayoshi Yokoyama strongly hinted at RGG Studio doing aKiwamiremake ofYakuza 3earlier this year, but there haven’t been any further updates since.

Meanwhile, fans of theLike a Dragonfranchise are getting excited about the release of the next chapter,Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii,which stars fan-favorite yakuzaGoro Majima in a bizarre and epic pirate adventurearound Hawaii that takes place after the events ofLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The standalone side story has already become one of the most anticipated games of 2025, and is releasing on February 21, the same month as other massive games such as Xbox’sAvowed, Ubisoft’sAssassin’s Creed Shadows, and Capcom’sMonster Hunter Wilds.
