Following around four years of development,MFS 2024has landed on the Xbox Series X/S and PC on Tuesday, November 19, priced at $69.99. PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate members can play the base game at no extra cost as part of their subscription. Upgrades to theDeluxe and Premium Editions ofMicrosoft Flight Simulator 2024are priced at $30 and $60, respectively. There’s also the $130 Aviator Edition upgrade, though hardcore fans who might be interested in its expanded lineup of aircraft and upgraded airports are likely to just purchase the $199.99 game outright rather than play it via a subscription service.

Xbox Game Pass Now Has Multiple Microsoft Flight Simulator Games on Offer

Following this arrival, Xbox Game Pass now offers two entries in the iconic flight sim franchise for the first time ever:MFS 2020andMFS 2024. In terms of key differences,Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024boasts several unique selling points, including expanded career options, more realistic weather effects and seasons, more detailed locations across its massive world, and multiplayer enhancements in the vein of more robust social features. As is tradition, the new game also promises to continue pushing the graphics envelope. It’s even compatible with its predecessor’s DLC packs, so anyone who purchases it may not have many reasons to ever go back toMFS 2020.

MetroidvaniaNine Solsis then set to arrive on November 26, whereas RTSAliens: Dark Descentwill join it a day later. Shortly afterward,Xbox Game Pass is going to lose eight titles on November 30, including some popular releases such asThe Walking Dead: The Final Season,Conan Exiles, andCoral Island.
