Most of these pending removals were confirmed via the Xbox app on November 17.Hello Neighbor 2’s Xbox Game Pass departure is the only exception, as Microsoft didn’t announce it until the 21st.

Xbox Game Pass Hasn’t Lost More Titles in a Single Month All Year
With nine departures in total, this next catalog rotation will match the 2024 record for the most Xbox Game Pass removals in a single day. The only other time thatXbox Game Pass lost nine games at once this year was on September 30. Up until now, September was also the busiest month of this year in terms of XGP departures, with 15 total removals. This record is now about to be broken, as the nine games set to leave the service later today will push the number of its November 2024 removals up to 16.
Seeing how Xbox Game Pass added only nine new titles over the course of November, this month is going to be another net negative for its content catalog. While occasions like these used to be fairly rare, the XGP library is now set to shrink for the third month in a row.
Whether this trend will continue should become clear(er) in a matter of days, when Microsoft is expected to announce the first half ofDecember 2024 Xbox Game Pass releases, as well as the December 15 wave of departures. The former group is already known to include the early access version ofOverthrownandIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, which are scheduled to arrive on December 5 and 9, respectively.
