World of Warcraftis starting a new group of freshClassicrealms soon, featuring some highly-requested quality-of-life improvements, including dual spec, instantaneous personal mail, and no buff and debuff limit. TheseWorld of Warcraft Classic20th Anniversary Edition Realms, including servers for both progression and Hardcore, open on November 21, just in time for the game’s 20th anniversary.

During therecent Warcraft Direct presentation on November 13,World of Warcraftannounced it was launching a new set of realms on November 21 that go back to the beginning ofClassic. Players will choose from three mega-servers – one each for PvE, PvP, and Hardcore – and progress throughWorld of Warcraft Classicsimilar to how it launched in 2019. What’s more, the PvE and PvP realms will progress intoThe Burning Crusadeafter going through all the base vanillaWoWcontent sometime in early 2026.

However, these newClassicrealms launch with a few quality-of-life improvements their predecessors did not have initially. Upgrades to reporting, guild UI and management, PvP honor ranking systems, graphics, the LFG tool, and the world buff-preserving Chronoboon Displacer are coming immediately – and in response to player feedback, Blizzard recently confirmed instantaneous mail between characters on the same account and the removal of the buff/debuff limit would also be implemented at launch, withdual spec coming to theClassic WoWserversnot long after.

These servers will be thefirst progression realms released inWoW Classicsince its original run in 2019– and their return toThe Burning Crusadewill be the first time players return to the iconic expansion since it went away in 2022. It remains to be seen if these servers will continue intoWrath of the Lich King Classiclater on, though it seems likely.

Beyond these new realms,Classic WoWis heading intoMists of Pandaria, and Season of Discovery is gearing up for its final phase early next year. Regardless of their favorite way to play, it seems fans ofWorld of Warcraft Classichave some exciting content coming over the next couple of years.
