However, one of the most important reveals pertained toWorld of Warcraft: The War Within’s first major content update.World of Warcraftrevealed Patch 11.1, fittingly titled Undermined, will be located in the underground Goblin capital city of Undermine. Planned for release in early 2025, this patch will add two new delves, one new dungeon, and the eight-boss Liberation of Undermine raid, which has players battle their way across the city and into the Gellagio, an extravagant palace belonging to Gallywix, the final boss of the instance.

What’s more, Patch 11.1 introducesWorld of Warcraft’s very first dynamic ground mount. Like the Delver’s Dirigible, Algarian Stormrider, and Dragonriding mounts, the D.R.I.V.E. is fully-customizable. That said, unlike its predecessors, this hot rod is a ground mount whose customizations appear to give it unique stats and abilities to adjust its speed, grip, acceleration, and more. The D.R.I.V.E. will only be usable in Undermine for the time being, though if it is as popular as Dragonriding was, it could expand beyond the zone in future updates asWorld of Warcraftdid with Skyriding.

Undermine is not located on Khaz Algar, but Patch 11.1 is still a direct continuation of the story ofThe War Within. Titan ruins overrun with Black Blood can be seen in the promotional screenshots, suggesting Gallywix may be Xal’atath’s next pawn, now thatQueen Ansurek has fallen inWoW: The War Within’s first raid. Either way, fans can expect the patch to further explore Goblin culture in greater depth than ever before, and will even be able to ally themselves with the four major cartels: the Bilgewater, Blackwater, Steemwheedle, and Venture Company.

Ahead of 11.1,World of Warcraftis also releasing Patch 11.0.7, The Siren Isle, on December 17. This smaller content update brings players to the eponymous island, acting as a narrative bridge betweenThe War Withinand Undermined, and bringing the mysterious Haranir, Orweyna, back into the spotlight in this next chapter of the Worldsoul Saga.
