There are a lot of mounts inWorld of Warcraft, hundreds of which are still available with more new mounts coming all the time. But there are a handful of mounts fromWoW’s history that are no longer available, or only available at certain times. The Obsidian Worldbreaker mountWoWplayers can get is – or, was –one of these exceptionally rare mounts.
Originally only available as a reward from theWoW15th Anniversary Celebration, the Obsidian Worldbreakerreturns with theWoW20th Anniversary Celebration. If you’d rather not participate in the festivities, it’s also available for Gold through the Black Market Auction House, but as with everything that goes through that illicit hub of trade, you never know when it’ll appear next.
How To Get The WoW Obsidian Worldbreaker Mount
Earn It During The WoW 20th Anniversary Celebration Event
The Obsidian Worldbreaker mountWoWplayers can get is one of several returning mounts includedamongst theWoW20th Anniversary Celebration rewards. There are several mounts available in theWoW20th Anniversary, including the coveted Core Hound and the Frayfeather Hippogryph, but only a few can be outright purchased with the event currency Bronze Celebration Tokens.
The Obsidian Worldbreaker is thankfully one of these. Along with the Core Hound, players can purchase the Obsidian Worldbreaker mount with Bronze. you may earn Bronze from a variety of sources while the event is active, including all 20th Anniversary events and quests as well asThe War Withinweeklies.
Once you’ve earned enough Bronze, head to the Caverns of Time 20th Anniversary Celebration hub and talk to Storekeeper Reginald. he can be found in the central tent of the event, to the south of the weekly quest giver and to theeast of the Tier 2 Set vendor.
Both the Core Hound and Obsidian Worldbreaker cost 20 Bronze each.
It Can Be Purchased From The Black Market Auction House, Too
Rarely, the Black Market Auction House lists some of the game’s rarest items, sometimes even unobtainable items like mounts and uniques that aren’t in the game anymore. The Obsidian Worldbreaker has shown up several times over the years since its introduction in the 15th Anniversary Celebration event, but it’s never been cheap.
Don’t expect to pay millions of Gold (like when the Reins of Invincible show up in the Black Market Auction House), but don’t expect to get away with it for anything less than 20,000 Gold (the default Mount starting price). Though this is an extremely rare mount, with its re-introduction in the 20th Anniversary Event the price is likely to drop as more players obtain this coveted mount via the easier method. If you’re dead set on avoiding the 20th Anniversary Celebration, and would ratherpay the price in cold hard Gold, camp an alt near the Black Market Auction House to check it regularly.
