A day afterWorld of Warcraftgave players a glimpse of its 2025 plans, Blizzard updated its roadmap for the upcoming year and clarified that a new zone would appear in a future patch. The plannedWorld of Warcraftzone’s name was not revealed at the time of writing, but Blizzard stated it would arrive in Patch 11.2 during the summer.

On November 13, Blizzard hosted theWarcraft30th Anniversary Direct broadcast, which revealed several updates and releases for players to enjoy. RegardingWorld of Warcraftannouncements, game director Ion Hazzikostas confirmed that the next content update forThe War Within, Siren Isle, would go live on December 17. Hazzikostas also pulled back the curtain on an early 2025 update that would takeWorld of Warcraftplayers to the Goblin metropolis known as The Undermine. Blizzard closed the broadcast by surprising fans with the reveal thatplayer housing would be added inWorld of Warcraft: Midnight, the second expansion of the ongoing Worldsoul Saga.

Whilethe 2025 roadmap forWorld of Warcraftis already loaded with content, Blizzard chose to make an addendum.According to Wowhead,World of Warcraft’s 2025 roadmap now includes confirmation that a new zone will be added in Patch 11.2 in the summer of 2025. The 11.2 update will also include a new dungeon and raid as part ofThe War Withinseason three, which should launch before the full reveal of theMidnightexpansion. However, Blizzard did not reveal further details about Patch 11.2’s planned zone, soWorld of Warcraftplayers must wait for more information in the months ahead. The 2025 roadmap forThe War Withinstated that Plunderstorm, Horrific Visions, and Turbulent Timeways will return at different intervals. It remains to be seen what changes Blizzard makes to each returning feature.

World of Warcraft Shares Updated 2025 Roadmap

Although Patch 11.2 is listed on the summer part of the roadmap,World of Warcraftplayers looking to delve into some nostalgia will have a chance. Blizzard said thatMists of Pandaria Classicwill launch in the summerinWorld of Warcraft Classic.Mists of Pandaria Classicwill introduce the Monk class, unlock the Pandaren as a playable race for both the Alliance and the Horde factions, and bring players to the shores of the southern continent of Pandaria. Post-launch features from the originalMists of Pandariaexpansion, such as the Isle of Thunder, will be released in updates throughout 2025 and beyond.

Between The Undermine of Patch 11.1 and the mysterious Patch 11.2 zone,The War Withinwill have up to six zones for players to explore. Only time will tell where Blizzard will take players inWorld of Warcraft’s 11.2 update.
