Phase 6 of Season of Discovery is coming toWorld of Warcraft Classicsoon. The content update, which brings the iconic Ahn’Qiraj raids to the retro servers, officially arrives on November 21, though fans can already start the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline that lets them ring the Scarab Gong and earn a Black Qiraji Battle Tank.
Despite this update not even being out yet,World of Warcraft ClassicSeason of Discovery has already given players a glimpse of what is in store for them next. During its recentWarcraftDirect, Season of Discovery revealed Phase 7, the last update coming to theWorld of Warcraft ClassicRealms. Naxxramas, the final VanillaWoWraid, will finally throw open its doors in this phase, but the developers also teased brand-new, SoD-original instanced content featuring the Scarlet Crusade, as well as an adventure in Deadwind Pass, either of which could be thelarger-than-life encounterWorld of Warcraft Classichad previously teased.
WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 7 Details
The update does not have a concrete release date yet, but the recent 2025 roadmap forWoW Classicputs the final update near the end of winter or beginning of spring. Judging from the pace of previous Season of Discovery phases,World of Warcraftwill probably release Phase 7 at the end of January at the earliest, or in March at the latest.
Many Season of Discovery fans have been worried about what happens next after Phase 7 wraps up. WhileWorld of Warcrafthas confirmed Season of Discovery characters won’t be deletedor forced onto normal Classic Era servers, it recently confirmed that it would share the plan for these toons in the near future. If players don’t know before Phase 7’s launch next year, they will likely learn what’s going to happen to their characters shortly after then.
