World of Warcraft Classicreleased Patch 1.15.5, two days before the long-awaited Ahn’Qiraj War Effort begins globally. The newWorld of Warcraftupdate will also offer three Classic Anniversary realms that will give players a fresh start, though those will go live shortly after the Ahn’Qiraj event kicks off.
During theWarcraft30th Anniversary Direct broadcast, Blizzard revealed thatWorld of Warcraft Classicwould introduce Classic Anniversary serversto give players who missed the initial launch of Season of Discovery and Hardcore mode a second chance. These servers are called Moldor’s Moxie (Normal), Fengus' Ferocity (PvP), and Slip’kik’s Savvy (Hardcore) and will launch on Thursday, November 21 at 5:00 PM Eastern. In addition to sending players back to a modified version ofWorld of Warcraft’s 1.0 release, some quality-of-life changes like instant mail and dual specializations will be available on those servers once they go live.
While Blizzard prepares for Phase 6 of Season of Discovery,World of Warcraftplayers have a new patch to download. According to Blizzard, the upcoming Ahn’qiraj War Effort in Patch 1.15.5 will work differently in Season of Discovery than the original Patch 1.9.0 ofWorld of Warcraft.Season of Discovery Phase 6will no longer require player participation to complete, as it will begin on November 21 and conclude on December 4. Players can still hand in various materials to earn reputation commendations with factions like the Timbermaw and Zandalar Tribes, the Argent Dawn, and the Cenarion Circle. Along with the war effort, Qiragi crystals will appear throughout Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, and defeating the creatures that spawn forth will provide additional rewards. The War in Silithus event will have a 48-hour duration, after which the two Ahn’qiraj raids will open.
The Ruins of Ahn’qiraj will suit 10 to 15-player teams, and the Temple of Ahn’qiraj will test raids with 20 to 25 members. Each Ahn’qiraj raid will also have an option to enable a higher difficulty by deactivating an obelisk in the first boss arenas of each instance. The “Descent to Madness” challenge gives players a finite number of attempts per lockout to defeat each enhanced boss for additionalloot and crafting materials inWorld of Warcraft Classic. Items that affect player power can also be obtained by defeating the bosses on the standard difficulty.
The Dragons of Nightmare will also be available in a single 25-player raid instance that can be accessed in zones like Duskwood and Ashenvale. With Phase 6 starting up, andSeason of Discovery Phase 7 in the works,World of Warcraft Classicplayers will have plenty to do in the weeks ahead.

WoW Classic Anniversary Realms
New WoW Classic Anniversary realms will go live on November 21 at 2:00 p.m. PST. In each region, the realms will be:
The Molten Core and Onxyia raids will open on December 12.
To support group play, Anniversary realms include a Looking for Group (LFG) tool, which will allow players to create, join, and browse parties manually.
Anniversary realms feature a Services chat channel that players can enable, specifically for advertising services such as portals, summons, and tribute buffs. All such advertising must be posted to the Services channel, and player chat of these kinds placed elsewhere are subject to player reports and actions taken by Blizzard. Additionally:
