Every good cozy game needs some good cozy tunes, andStardew Valleyis no exception. The hit indie farm simulation’s soundtrack is immensely popular, with the soundtrack even available for purchase on Steam and as physical media. This popularity has led theStardew Valleysoundtrack to be performed across the country previously in the Festival of Seasons concert tour. This tour also garnered positive reception, making the recent announcement that another global tour forStardew Valleyis on the way unsurprising.
If this new global tour is anything like the previous Festival of Seasons tour, fans are in for a delightful treat.Stardew Valleyplayersmay see these aspects from Festival of Seasons if they manage to score tickets for this new venture.
The Festival of Seasons Tour
The Festival of Seasons tourkicked off in Los Angeles back in mid-February. Festival of Seasons was initially slated to perform in fourteen different cities across the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and South Korea before concluding the tour in Bangkok, Thailand. Tickets for the Festival of Seasons tour sold out almost immediately. Scalpers began to sell the tickets at ludicrously inflated prices shortly after, with ticket availability being listed and unlisted in some cities.
To rectify this issue, ConcernedApeannounced more dates and locations for the Festival of Seasons tour including countries that were not on the previous roster.Stardew Valleyfans in New Zealand, Italy, France, Singapore, and Japan, were given the opportunity to see the tour thanks to this expansion.
Festival of Seasons played itslast show on September 27 in Tokyo, Japan. The set list and atmosphere for the tour was purposefully described as intimate. The tour’s concert program was specifically dedicated to taking concert-goers throughStardew Valley’s four seasons and its many festivals. The tour’s small chamber orchestra added to this nostalgic and cozy atmosphere.
Symphony of Seasons is an Even Bigger Endeavor
The Symphony of Seasons tour is, once again, international. The event was organized by Tokyo-based live music company SOHO Live.ConcernedApe is also involvedin creating this new tour, just like Festival of Seasons. The previous tour had a smaller orchestra, but Symphony of Seasons will be performed by a thirty-five-piece orchestra that will perform new arrangements ofStardew Valleymusic.
In addition to the live music, images fromStardew Valleywill be shown on a screen coinciding with the locations the music plays in. Concert-goerswill explore locations like Pelican Town, Ginger Island, Skull Cavern, the Submarine, the Wizard’s Tower, Calico Desert, and many more. These videos supposedly will not just be walkthroughs of the locations, but gameplay. The tour’s description also says that “unique visuals and content curated exclusively for this concert” will be displayed throughout the show.
Fans have also been encouraged to attend their concerts in cosplay, whether that be as their farmers, NPCs, orStardew Valley’s romanceable characters. This was a trend present at the previous Festival of Seasons tour.
