Frost and Fairies Join Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Sew Delightful Update
The Frost and Fairies Star Path will be released inthe Sew Delightful updateon December 4. Alongside the Star Path, players will see a wide variety of new additions and updates worth getting excited about.
Sally fromThe Nightmare Before Christmaswill joinher beloved Jack SkellingtoninDisney Dreamlight Valley. The entirety of her friendship quests have yet to be revealed, but some of the quests will involve quilting and preparing for a double date. Many clothing and furniture items will feature the iconic pattern of Sally’s patchwork dress.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s design modewill also be updated. Rather than the four points of rotation currently available, the design mode will now feature sixteen points of rotation. This change will give players more control over the appearance of the Valley. A new feature called “Floating Islands” will also be added in the update. Though these Floating Islands may hold their own aesthetics, they act as a blank slate for players to decorate as they wish.
Considering the large amount of contentavailable in Star Paths, the winter-themed items in the Frost and Fairies Star Path will be the perfect touch for a frosty Floating Island or for a simple revamp.
The Exact Details of Frost and Fairies Have Been Caught in a Snowstorm
The Frost and Fairies Star Path was announced in theDisney Dreamlight Valley2024 Showcase Streamalongside the Sew Delightful update. A sneak peek of the items in the upcoming Star Path was cryptically disclosed onDisney Dreamlight Valley’s X (formerly Twitter) account on November 27.
Simply telling fans what items are in the Star Path would be too easy. Instead, the post relayed three combinations of emojis, all supposedly corresponding with a reward in the Star Path. The first combination is a snowflake and a fairy, the second is a snow cloud and a rabbit, and the last is an ice cube and a chair.
What the Emojis May Reference
The snowflake and the fairy is not only a reference to the Star Path’s title, but likely also toTinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings. This 2012 film is part of theTinker Belldirect-to-DVD films popular in the 2000s and 2010s. With nostalgia for this era of media on the rise, it would be unsurprising forDisney Dreamlight Valleyto capitalize on the Tinker Bell films. The game’s 2025 free content roadmap brings even more evidence to this theory, as theSummer 2025 image teasesNeverland’s Skull Rock.
The rabbit and the snowing cloud could be a reference to Thumper and Bambi’s iconic tumble across an icy pond.Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas used characters as animal companions in the game previously, notably with Hei Hei and Pua. Thumper would be a great way to finally incorporateBambiintoDisney Dreamlight Valley.
Lastly, the ice cube and the chair are a bit of an abstract combination. The most obvious imagery would be a throne, perhaps from the sometimes snowy kingdom of Arendelle. Considering the “Frost” in the Star Path’s title, it would make sense forFrozen-themed items to make their way into the pass.
