30 years ago, cheat codes were extremely common across all kinds of games, but over time fewer and fewer games have launched with cheats available. As a game from theclassic 90’s era of PC gaming,Warcraft 1Remasteredfeatures a variety of cheat codes that are easy to use and provide a variety of beneficial effects.
WithWarcraft 1cheats, you can get free resources, instant unit upgrades, stronger unit strength, faster build speed, the ability to jump between levels, and more. Though many of theseWC1cheats can be used inboth single-player and multi-player modes, some can only be enabled under certain conditions.
How To Use Warcraft 1 Cheat Codes
To use cheat codes,Warcraft 1players must first enter a game – you don’t enter cheats from the main menu, youenter Cheats with the in-game chat bar.
To enter a WC1 cheat code, simplypress the ENTER key and type in the code phrasein the popup chat bar. You don’t need to pre-empt your command with a special character (like “/"), you just need to type the letters exactly as they appear in the list of allWarcraft 1cheats below as you would a normal chat message, including spaces (or the lack thereof).
Most cheats will work in the singleplayer campaign, many will work in thesingleplayer scenarios and modes in the RTS, and a few will even work in multiplayer games (if you enable Cheats, first). If you are in a game mode that will allow the cheat’s effect, or have cheats enabled in multiplayer, youshould see a confirmation message that reads “cheat enabled you wascally wabbit”.
Some cheats don’t have obvious effects, like the one that unlocks all Magic spells. As long as you see this confirmation message, your cheat should be activated.
All WC1 Cheat Codes & Effects
When entering any of theseWarcraft 1cheat codes, you must type out each phrase as it appears below. Case does not matter, so you should be able toenter “THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE"or “there can only be one” to activate the high-damage invulnerable unit cheat, for example.
Some of theseWC1cheats only work in certain game modes. You can only skip to campaign levels while playing in the associated campaign, and likewise, you can only get to the final campaign sequence while playing in a campaign scenario.
In multiplayer, you must enter the code “corwin of amber” to activate cheats,enabling the use of most cheat codes(that aren’t tied to the campaign) for both you and your opponent. Some cheats can be used in singleplayer without this code, while others are also tied to this code in both singleplayer and multiplayer, so be sure to check the table below to see if you must enter this initialWarcraft 1cheat code to activate others.
