Undisputed Adding Jake Paul in New DLC
In a newpress release, Steel City Interactive announced that Jake Paul would be coming toUndisputedas part of the new ‘Problem Child’ DLC pack on December 12. The paid expansion will also add six other fighters, including Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Márquez, James ‘Buster’ Douglas, Otto Wallin, and Zhilei Zhang. According to Steel City, each of the new fighters will come with an alternate outfit, while the star ofUndisputed’s first post-launch DLC, Jake Paul, will come with three in-game outfits for players to choose from. The studio says Paul was “put through his paces” with full motion capture to ensure his in-game character reflected his signature style, combining his real-world fighting skills with his unapologetic, bold persona.
Much like the boxer himself, the addition of Jake Paul has been a controversial one, to say the least. Overon Reddit, some fans are urging other players not to buy the upcoming DLC as there are still a plethora ofbugs and glitches inUndisputedthat players are eager to see rectified. Thankfully, a new update is being planned to launch on the very same day as the upcoming DLC, buta messagefrom one of the game’s Discord moderators indicates that it won’t be a “silver bullet update,” implying that the patch likely won’t address many of the issues fans still have with the game.
Steel City did surprise fans with anewUndisputedupdate back in November, despite the fact that the studio said a new patch wouldn’t drop until mid-December. The update included fixes for some of the boxing game’s most prominent issues, including adjustments to block colliders, stamina, power punches, and even a nerf to the incredibly overpowered Deontay Wilder. But with various other serious bugs (such as one affecting players' in-game record) still running rampant, fans believe gameplay improvements should be taking top priority at the studio.
Undisputed’s The Problem Child DLC will be released on December 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and will also come with The Apparel Pack, which features alternate ring attire for existing fighters, including Deontay Wilder, Roy Jones Jr., Terence Crawford, Vasiliy Lomachenko, Seniesa Estrada and Sunny Edwards.
