The Unsuccessful Sequel To The Animated Series.

Despite the controversy,Spider-Man: The New Animated Seriesstill holds a special place in many a fan’s heart. With its poor reception upon release, the show only ran for one season, limiting how much fans got to see of this Spider-Man variant.

InSpider-Man: The New Animated Series,Spider-Man only comes up against a small selection of hisclassic villains, like Electro, Lizard, Kingpin, Kraven the Hunter, and Silver Sable, with the show opting to create new original villains exclusively for the series. 7Spider-Man (1967)

The First Animated Spider-Man show

Spider-Manfrom 1967 was the show that started it all. The show featured all the usual elements you’d expect from aSpider-Man story including epic battles against his greatest foes and saving citizens from harm’s way. In the show, we see Spider-Man go up against villains like Vulture, Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, and more.

Due to the limitations of animation at the time and the lack of ‘Violence’ allowed on prime-time TV at the time, the show had to be tame with some of the fight scenes, meaning it’s hard to judge how strong this Spider-Man is when compared with more modern iterations.

Although this is impressive, it’s not unexpected, and, compared to other shows, these versions of the classic villains are relatively weak despite the help of the Anime style (Witch usually makes characters stronger than the source material). During the series, we don’t see Spider-Man carry out any specific feats that aren’t expected from the character, we see some great acts of strength and durability, but these are not enough to rank this version of Spider-Man any higher.

InThe Spectacular Spider-Man, we see Peter Parker grow into Spider-Man and encounter all his classic villains, while Doc-Ock, Green Goblin, and Venom play the most important villainous roles in the show.
