Summary

The main goal ofFarming Simulator 25is to make as much money as possible, and one of the best ways to do so is by focusing on crops that bring in the most profit. This can get a bit tricky in the later game because there are a few crops that need specialized equipment to plant and harvest. And, depending on the in-game settings, there’s also a need to look after them during the growing process to ensure that they have a healthy yield.

This list looks at the total profit that’s possible from each crop, but also what kind of initial investment it needs in order to get the crop growing and thriving. As such, although some crops may yield more money overall, they may not be here because they are more effort than they are actually worth.

5Spinach

Double Harvesting

Spinach is one of the new crops introduced inFarming Simulator 25, and it’s also one of the best ways to make money. Its base price isn’t phenomenally high, but the main draw of spinach is that players can harvest it twice a year - since it grows in only three months. Spinach can be planted with any seeder, and it can be used in the Preserved Food Factory production line to increase profits with Spinach Bags.

The big investment for spinach is a special harvester - the OXBO MKB-4TR- to farm the spinach once it’s done growing. This Harvester is found underneath the Vegetables section in the shop, and it goes for about $635,000. This is quite pricey, but it’s only a once-off buy for a plant that can essentially be continuously harvested throughout the year. If players throw that cost in with the normal fertilizers and field prep they use for getting a better yield, spinach is one of the best crops to start off with for making money.

4Soybeans

Low Maintenance Crop

Soybeans remain one of the best crops to invest in for high profits, like previousFarming Simulatorentries. It has a slower growth time of six months, but it doesn’t require a lot of maintenance and has one of the highest profit margins of all the available crops. Per hectare, it’s possible to get about 450l of soybeans, and it goes for around $2300 per 1000l.

The other thing that makes soybeans a great choice is they can be harvested with the same headers as any other wheat - which is what most farmers will start with on a new farm. As such, they don’t require a lot of initial investment, and they can start making a profit very quickly. Their main drawback is that they don’t produce as high a yield forthe seeds needed to plant them, but this is made up for by their low maintenance.

3Cotton

High Yield and Versatile Sales

Growing cotton can have massive benefits, specifically because few seeds are needed to get a high yield, and it is generally in high demand -making it easy to sell. It can also be used in production lines like the spinnery to make fabric and sell clothing.

The caveat is that cotton needs careful attention while it’s growing, and it takes eight months to grow. It also needs special equipment to seed, harvest, and transport, making it something farmers would only want to invest in a bit later on in the game. However, it goes for about $3200 per 1000l and up to $4000 when it’s in season and the demand is at its highest. Combining this with the versatility it has in production lines, cotton can quickly turn into one of the highest-profit crops very quickly.

2Rice

High Return on Investment

Rice is one of the new crops inFarming Simulator 25, and it offers a pretty unique gameplay experience while also being one of thebest crops to invest in for profit. Planting and harvesting rice takes a lot of investment, though, and not only the cash-kind. There’s a very specific process to follow when planting rice with specialized equipment, namely making sure fields are in the right conditions, but once it’s grown (which is quite quick at 4 months), it’s a straightforward harvest.

This high return on investment is why rice is on this list. It can take some time and patience to get right, but it’s worth the effort when the money starts rolling in. Rice also has an incredibly high yield, which means it’s easy to get a lot out of what gets planted, and it sells for about $3200 per 1000l - making it even more profitable than cotton, especially when considering the production line potential it has.

1Sugar Beet

The Best Crop for Profit

When looking at the average pricing for sugar beet, it may not be immediately obvious that it’s the best crop formaking profits in the game. That’s mainly because the draw of sugar beet is the exceptionally high yield it gives per hectare, and it can be turned into sugar for even more profit potential.

Sugar beet needs some care and specialized equipment to plant and harvest, but overall, it gives the best return on any investment players would make inFarming Simulator 25. Compared to some other crops, it ends up not being that high maintenance, and overall, it gives the best value for investment, even though some of that investment will also be the care it needs during the growing process.
