The Apothecary Diaries is basedon Natsu Hyuga’s light novel series. It started serializing on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2011. After it gained popularity, Shufunotomo acquired it. The Apothecary Diaries has received two manga adaptations. Overall, the series has sold over 38 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga of the last decade.
Due to its popularity, it was picked up for an anime adaptation in 2023. The first season of the anime premiered in October 2023, and it ran until March 2024. The first season consisted of 24 episodes.
