The updated list includes a few more tall Blue Lock characters, who also coincidentally happen to play crucial roles in the overall narrative.
13Rin Itoshi
Height: 186 cm / 6 feet 1 inch
Rin Itoshi is a rare talent, capable of competing against the best strikers in the world in his age group. He is able to sprint at decent speeds on the pitch when the circumstances necessitate and dribble past skilled defenders with relative ease. His tall height gives him a reach to outmaneuver his rivals and also grants him the ability to excel in using headers or jump shots to his advantage.

12Zantetsu Tsurugi
Height: 187 cm / 6 feet 2 inches
Zantetsu is a talented footballer who thrives on the field because of his explosive acceleration and left-foot shooting. Although not the tallest player at Blue Lock, he is still tall enough to dominate aerial duels and outrun rivals. Very few footballers at the facility match his raw speed and agility, making Zantetsu a unique player that every team would like to have in their lineup.
11Shoei Baro
Arguably the most gifted player in Blue Lock,Shoei Baro is an arrogant and dominating strikerwho strives to outperform everyone on the field at all times. His unconventional playing style is so bizarre that it is next to impossible to predict his strategy when he is playing in the flow state. In fact, Baro does not hesitate to steal the ball from his own teammates to score the goal himself, which encapsulates his relentless hunger for glory.
Baro is extremely strong and also towers over most footballers on the field. Using his dominant physicality, he is able to generate superhuman strength in his middle shots, making them almost impossible to stop.
10Rensuke Kunigami
Height: 188 cm / 6 feet 2 inches
Rensuke Kunigami is one of those playerswho instantly catches attention whenever they play. Because of his dominant physicality, Kunigami can constantly put the opposition under pressure by forcing them to adapt their strategies to adjust to his attacking playing style.
Kunigami’s tall stature also comes in handy, especially in man-marking, which allows him to push forwards to rethink their game. In the Neo Egoist League, he is even able to trouble the best strikers on the field and score beautiful goals by taking advantage of his height.
9Jinpachi Ego

Jinpachi Ego is a visionary strategistand football coach who has taken the challenge of transforming Japanese football so radically that it can finally win its first World Cup. He is also the director and the brains behind Japan’s Blue Lock Project, which is aimed at creating an egotistical striker that will lead the national football team on the world stage.
Football is, at its core, a sport about scoring goals even at the expense of your teammates. The best player is the one that scores the most.
Despite endless doubts and uncertainties surrounding the Japanese Football Union-funded project, Ego not only exudes confidence from day one but also goes on to prove that his mentees are good enough to challenge the best footballers from around the world. Jinpachi is a strict but fair mentor who knows how to make players surpass their limits by constantly redefining what’s within their reach.
8Seishiro Nagi
Height: 190 cm / 6 feet 3 inches
Blue Lock facility brings some of the most talented strikers from all over Japan under the same roof, butvery few are as gifted as Seishiro Nagi. At one point, he was a lazy and unmotivated teenager, but that changed dramatically as he started competing with other players at the facility. Soon, Nagi underwent a transformation and found himself competing to be the best in the world.
This is the first time I’ve felt like this, and in order for me to understand this frustration, I want to play football with this guy. I want to try to put in some effort.
As mentioned earlier,Nagi is a gifted footballerwhose ball control is superior to almost everyone at Blue Lock. Seishiro has also demonstrated that he can enter the flow state and use multiple weapons together to score seemingly impossible goals. During the match against Bastard München, he scores what many describe as the goal of the century by performing a five-shot revolver fake volley. The goal is so beautiful that Jinpachi argues that it will never be recreated.
7Oliver Aiku
Oliver Aiku wanted to becomethe best striker in the world from a young age, but his dream was sabotaged by a lack of proper guidance. He eventually made up his mind that he would insteadbecome the best defenderin the world and successfully got into Italy’s Ubers, where he plays as a center-back. He is a skilled footballer who intelligently uses his understanding of a striker’s mindset to read the game and anticipate attacking moves.
People often liken Strikers as Robbers, and Defenders as Cops. So, on my watch, I ain’t letting no Robbers steal any goals.
Oliver is one of the fewfootballers gifted with metavisionand the ability to enter the flow state at will. Furthermore, his spatial awareness and sharp reflexes make him an enigma for the opponents, leaving the strikers frustrated as he appears like an impenetrable wall that they can’t break through.
6Gen Fukaku
Height: 191 cm / 6 feet 3 inches
Standing at 191 cm or 6 feet 3 inches, Gen Fukaku is a goalkeeper. He plays for the Japan U20 team and later joined the Ubers, one of Europe’s best football teams.
Unlike most footballers whose game rely on difficult skills, Gen’s greatest weapon is his domineering physique, using which he becomes a formidable presence on the field. Using his height, he can defend a vast area of the net, making it extremely hard to score a goal against his team.
5Gin Gagamaru
Gin Gagamaru is a dedicated team man and reliable friend who, unlike most players at Blue Lock, is willing to put the team’s success over his personal goals selflessly. Althoughhe joined Jinpachi’s projectto become the best striker in the world, when the situation demanded, he had no qualms about putting on the gloves and playing as a goalkeeper. It soon became evident that Gin had the natural reflexes and body for the role, and he could prove to be a highly effective goalkeeper.

Gagamaru is gifted with ultra reflexes that allow him to perform last-second headers and unconventional movements on the field that are hard to anticipate. He is also quite flexible and has pushed himself to the extreme by scoring a Scorpion kick during a crucial match. Gin is also one of the few people in Blue Lock who eventually learn to enter the flow state consciously. In the Neo Egoist League, he plays for Germany’s Bastard München as a goalkeeper.
4Kento Cho
Height: 193 cm / 6 feet 4 inches
Kento Cho is a sharp and lanky player from Japan’s U20 team who goes on to play for Paris X Gen, a French professional football club. Born on August 19, he is a left winger and plays an attacking role in the team by utilizing his agility and quick decision-making. His best weapon is his tall height, which allows him to dictate the game during post-play.
