EA Addresses Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Issues on PS5 Pro
In Digital Foundry’s latestYouTube video, the channel discovered thatStar Wars Jedi: Survivorruns much worse on the PlayStation 5 Pro. While in Performance Mode, Digital Foundry noted that there were some serious graphical issues, such as texture flickering, largely down to the console’s new PSSR technology. Thankfully, the game’s publisher has issued a statement via Twitter, saying that it is aware of issues withStar Wars Jedi: Survivoron the PlayStation 5 Pro and is actively investigating. While it’s unclear how long it will take for this issue to be resolved, fans can rest easy knowing that the studio is working to deploy a fix.
Various other titles are also being affected by the PlayStation 5 Pro’s PSSR feature, which uses artificial intelligence to upscale textures with more detail for a sharper image. For example, variousCall of Duty: Black Ops 6players are reporting issues on the PS5 Pro, with the console’s PSSR feature reportedly causing the game to have a “shimmering” effect when in 60 FPS mode.
Gamers have also been begging Konami tofixSilent Hill 2on the PlayStation 5 Pro, as the popular horror remake supposedly performs much worse than it does on the standard PlayStation 5. Despite the store page forSilent Hill 2stating that it is enhanced for the PlayStation 5 Pro, the game’s Quality mode still only targets 30 FPS, unlike games such asGod of War Ragnarok, which offers the best visual settings while targeting 60 FPS. Users also noticed that when in Performance mode, there is a strange shimmering effect on some surfaces.
