The Division 2 Has Added Three Outfits Inspired By STALKER 2
Available as of November 19,The Division 2has just added an apparel bundle inspired bytheSTALKERseries. This bundle adds three unique outfits pulled directly fromSTALKER’s universe, with all three being wearable outfits inSTALKER: Shadow of Chornobyland appearing in the recently releasedSTALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
The Monolith Uniform referencesSTALKER’s Monolith faction, a group of zealots who have formed a religion around a mysterious artifact located at the heart of the Zone that supposedly grants wishes. The Sunrise Uniform is one ofSTALKER’s most iconic, being most commonly worn by those in the Loner faction and the game’s eponymous group of scavengers/adventurers. The SEVA-D Uniform references one ofSTALKER’s most useful suits, renowned for its protection against both the Zone’s hazardous elements and gunfire.
Set against the backdrop of a pandemic that’s caused anarchy in the US' capitol state,The Division 2features a fairly similar setting toSTALKER 2, with players needing to explore a devastated land and fight their way through various different factions. As such,The Division 2’s newSTALKERskinsfeel right at home in the Ubisoft multiplayer game.
The Division 2’s STALKER 2 Bundle Costs 3000 Credits
But there’s a pretty big catch toThe Division 2’sSTALKERbundle, and that’s its price. To obtain all threeSTALKERskins, players will need to spend 3000 Credits, which roughly translates to about $30. With such a high price tag, thisSTALKERbundle might feel like less of a celebration to some fans, and more like a bit of a cash grab that’s trying to capitalize on the current excitement aboutSTALKER 2’s launch.
Despite being around for over five years, and growing alongsidegames likeFortniteandCall of Duty: Warzone,The Division 2has had a surprising lack of pop-culture crossovers. The game’s first crossover came in June 2021, whenThe Division 2collaborated withResident Evilfor the latter’s 25th anniversary. While this collab event did come with plenty of premium skins that cost Credits, it also gave players a free Leon Kennedy R.P.D. outfit.
The Division 2’s only other crossover was withSplinter Cellback in June 2023, where players could obtain a Sam Fisher outfit by buying the Season Track.
It would have been nice to have seen a similar approach withThe Division 2’sSTALKERcollaboration, letting players obtain one outfit for free to celebrate the launch ofSTALKER 2, and then charge Credits for the rest.
