Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobylallows players tomake some major and minor decisionsthat shape the story progression of the game. Although helping out Squint is one of the minor choices, it sets the tone for other, more impactful choices to come in the game. This guide explores all the options you have in this situation and why should you go for one or the other decision inStalker 2.
Should You Help Or Attack Squint In Stalker 2?
Players will be able to find Squint duringthe “Needle in a Haystack” missioninStalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Squint is a Stalker that has killed some ofCaptain Zotov’s men. So, Skiff must locate him and retrieve the Ward Sensors.
However, players also get the same request from Richter, as he believes giving theWard Sensorsto Zotov is a bad idea, so instead, Skiff should retrieve the sensors for him instead. Whatever the player chooses to do afterward, the first goal is to find Squint and ask him about the sensors.
Players will be given 2 choices after confronting Squint.
Instead of choosing one or the other, there’s a better path where players will end up with the Ward Sensors anda cool artifact from this mission.
Finding The Artifact For Squint
Players must first choose to help Squint by accepting his request to find an artifact in a nearby cave, starting theside mission, “Piece of Cake.“Here’s how players cansuccessfully retrieve the artifactfor Squint inStalker 2.
Attack Squint & Retrieve The Ward Sensors
After heading back to Squint, Skiff will confront him about hiding the fact about a Bloodsucker being in the cave. Now, players will need to choose if they want to hand over the artifact to Squint and allow him to escape, or fight him inStalker 2.
Thebest decision is to fight Squint at this point, since it’s better tokeep the artifact for yourself. After taking down Squint, loot his body to retrieve the Ward Sensors. Going this route won’t affect your standing with the Zalissya or with the Wardens, and it allow you to keep the artifact for yourself.
