Where To Find Artifacts In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Artifacts and Anomalies are intrinsically connected. Every time players see an Anomaly such as a huge field of Toxic Fumes, or Magnetic Distortions, they should investigate using the Detector.

The Detector has two basic functions. It will emit a beep every time players approach an Anomaly spot, and will show a blinking blue light if the player is near an Artifact. On that note, not all Anomaly zones contain an Artifact, so look only around those where the Blue Light turns on.

There are Anomaly zones all across the map. Look for the bigger ones first, since these are often associated with a hidden Artifact.

Artifacts will remain hidden/invisible unless players approachthe exact location where they are. It works like a “mine detector” mini-game.

There are several types of anomalies to consider:

Each of these will have different types of Artifacts associated with them, so keep an eye out for these signs and look around the areas where they appearto find these prized items.

Remember that alongside the Detector, players can throw a Bolt towards an anomaly to make it explode, and wait for that window of opportunity before it resets to go through.

How To Farm Artifacts In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

There are two secrets to Artifact Farming inS.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The first one is about how to trigger an Artifact spawn, which can only be done by picking a Repeatable Quest from Bar Owners: “Find an Artifact.”

Players will receive some indications in their PDA as well as a Quest to find X Artifact. For example, let’s say that Warlock (bar owner from Zalisya) gives players a Find Battery Artifact Quest.

Then players will have to go and look around specific Anomaly zones — in this case, Electric Anomaly Zones. Each type of Artifact is associated with an “elemental Anomaly,” but different Artifacts can spawn in the same type of zones, which brings us to the next secret tip.

Once players have found the Artifact in an Anomaly, save the game before picking it up.As Artifacts are randomly generated, and will respawn in the same spot unless picked up, players can save scum until they find the artifact they’re looking for.

Do Artifacts Respawn in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl?

In short, yes.Artifacts that are not associated with Find X Artifact Quest respawn after every Emission, which aredeadly storms you need to avoid at all costs. Once the radioactive fallout cools down, players can emerge from their hiding holes and look around the zones where they already collected Artifacts. This can’t be done frequently, as Emissions are totally random, so players need to establish a good farming route by taking notes on the areas where Anomalies with Artifacts were spotted.

Luckily, Emissions are always accompanied by a warning transmission from the nearest Faction. That way, players will know when they need to take cover, and when they can re-emerge and start looking around for Artifacts.
