Just like its console counterpart,Sonic Racingsees Sonic and his supporting cast compete against each other to see who has the fastest vehicle across various colorful tracks as a Sega-themed answer toMario Kart.
Sonic Racinghas seen numerous updates over the years, with many of these patches adding new environments and playable characters, like theCasino Park Zone fromSonic Heroesor the classic version of Sonic that serves as a secondary playable character in such entries asSonic X Shadow GenerationsandSonic Forces. There have also been plenty of bug fixes to address issues that players report, as well as adding new features like online Leaderboards that give players a chance to win prizes and pair their skills against otherSonicfans around the world.
Earlier this week,Sonic Racingreceived another update that adds new game modes and unlockable versions ofcharacters like Shadow the Hedgehogand Amy Rose. Community Challenges task players with working together to clear special objectives and earn rewards like the music-themed Idol Shadow skin for the ever-popular Shadow the Hedgehog. There is also Popstar Amy, who can be unlocked by completing Time Trials.
