The official website and X (formerly Twitter) accountfor Shangri-La Frontier releaseda new trailer for its upcoming Nephilim Hollow arc. The PV is rather interesting, as it looks nothing like Shangri-La Frontier. In fact, it seems like a completely different anime. Aside from the visuals, it also had glimpses of Shangri-La Frontier characters.
Shangri-La Frontier’s Nephilim Hollow arc will begin with the 31st episode of the anime, which is slated to air on June 09, 2025. The Nepehlim Hollow arc will be one to look forward to as the studio appears to be shifting to a different approach. Whether this will be the right decision remains to be seen.
Shangri-La Frontier Confirms The Addition Of Two New Cast Members
It has been confirmed that Takahashi Rie and Ishikawa Kaito will be joining the cast for the Nephilim Hollow arc. Takahashi Rie will be voicing Rust. According to the official description, Rust is the number one ranked player in Nephilim Hollow. Their exceptional skill makes it almost impossible for others to get the better of them. Even Sanraku was unable to secure a victory against Rust. Rust always wears the same suit, choosing not to change it until they loses.
Kaito Ishikawa will be providing his voice to Moldo. He is an operator who plays Nephilim Hollow with Rust. Due to his cool demeanor, he is able to perform at a high level. Aside from the two additions, the rest of the cast will remain unchanged.

What Is Shangri-La Frontier About?
Shangri-La Frontier’s anime adaptationwas announced in July 2022. The initial season had 25 episodes, and they aired from July 22, 2025, to Jul 14, 2025. Shangri-La Frontier’s second season began airing on Jun 24, 2025. Netmarble also announced a mobile game based on the anime, but so far no release date has been confirmed.
Shangri-La Frontier follows the story of Rakuro Hizutome, an avid fan of botched video games. He plays these games under the alias, Sunraku. His goal is to master such games completely, after which he stops playing them. Eventually, he suffers from burnout and decides to try a newgame called Shangri-La Frontier.
