Summary
A recentGenshin Impactleak reveals potentially key information on what players can expect from Mavuika and Citlali, who are set to make their debut as playable characters in Version 5.3. While the Natlan era has already seen plenty of excitement,Genshin Impactplayers eagerly await the arrival of the Pyro Archon. Mavuika has garnered plenty of hype from theGenshin Impactcommunity, and rightfully so, as she represents the chance for the developers to finally introduce a 5-Star alternative to Xiangling or Bennett.
On the other hand,Citlali inGenshin Impactis something of an unexpected star. As a Cryo character, she was expected to garner less interest, but her charming personality and role in Natlan’s main story endeared her to the community. Rumors implied that Citlali would be a Shield Support, and while Cryo is certainly familiar with that archetype, Citlali may end up being only the third 5-Star Shield Support in the game. Given how desirable Zhongli and Baizhu are inGenshin Impact, there is potential for Citlali to shine.
Thelatest information comes via Genshin Leakflow, which provides possible details about the ability kits of Mavuika and Citlali, while also offering clarification on the name of thenewGenshin Impactcharacter coming in Version 5.4. As claimed by earlier leaks, Mavuika is expected to have a potent off-field Pyro application, with her Elemental Burst compared to that of Yelan. However, somewhat controversially, the recent leak claims that Mavuika’s Elemental Burst will scale its damage according to the fluctuation of her teammates' Nightsoul points. Assuming the information is correct, it would almost assuredly lock Mavuika’s best teams to Natlan characters.
Genshin Impact Leak Potentially Reveals Mavuika and Citlali’s Ability Kits
While information about Mavuika’s ability kit is scarce, the leak provides a far more detailed overview of Citlali. As expected, her Elemental Burst manifests a Cryo shield. When the shield is broken, the damage made against it is recorded, and instant healing is applied proportional to the saved value. Though this implies a synergy withFurina inGenshin Impact, the backloaded heal doesn’t mesh well with generating Fanfare stacks for Furina. A frontloaded heal, such as one provided by Xianyun, is considered more preferable.
Citlali’s Elemental Skill centers on the character, and creates a web that deals continuous Cryo damage. The range is described as being comparable to Albedo’s Solar Isotoma. While it can be assumed that her Elemental Skill allows Citlali to mimic the exploration abilities of an Iktomisaurus, much like howOroron inGenshin Impactcan leap into the air by using Phlogiston, Citlali will also be able to climb up while inside her web. Lastly, the leak clarifies that the new Inazuma character from Version 5.4 is called Jungetsu. It’s important to take most leaks with a grain of salt, but players should also keep in mind that more concrete information about Citlali and Mavuika is coming very soon. Version 5.2 is set to launch on July 27, 2025, and beta testing for Version 5.3 will follow.
