Summary
A newFortniteSave the World rumor suggests that Snowstrike and Ruckus will be added to the game mode as a Ninja and Outlander, respectively. AlthoughFortniteSave the World gets less attention than other game modes, Epic Games may have some plans for its future.
WhenFortnitewas revealed at the Spike Video Game Awards in 2011, it focused on a tower defense mode called Save the World, which was the original vision for the game before the Battle Royale blew up in popularity in 2017. While most modern fans stick to Battle Royale,LEGOFortnite’s modes, and various Creative maps, some continue to play Save the World regularly. Beyond the drastic gameplay changes, players can also earn V-Bucks in Save the World by completing daily quests. One leaker has found changes toFortnite’s files that suggest Save the World is set to get two new heroes soon.
Twitter user Archer_fortnite recently shared some details regarding a rumor involvingFortniteSave the World. According to the leaker, two new heroes have been spotted in the Save the Worldfiles: Snowstrike and Ruckus. While there isn’t much data on how these characters will function in Save the World, it has been suggested that Snowstrike has a throwing star that slows enemies. With less information on Ruckus, the Twitter user has stated that the hero may be in development limbo, as he hasn’t seen any recent updates. It hasn’t been confirmed when these heroes will arrive inFortniteSave the World, so players may be waiting a while.
These Heroes Could Be Coming to Fortnite Save the World
Once introduced toFortniteSave the World, players may be able to earn them through Event Quests or purchase them in the Event Store. This isn’t their first appearance, however, as Ruckus and Snowstrike have both been featured intheFortniteItem Shopmultiple times. Snowstrike was introduced as part of the Snow Clan set in 2019, while Ruckus debuted as a Wasteland Warrior in 2018. While theFortniteBattle Royale is regularly updated, Save the World is only patched periodically, and many of these patches are for balancing. Frostnite and Frozen Fjords recently returned to Save the World as part of its latest event rotation. While players aren’t able to unlock Ruckus or Snowstrike, Subzero Zenith has returned with his own set of goodies.
While it’s unclear how much content will continue to be added toFortniteSave the World, rumors like this may bode well for its longevity. Because Ruckus and Snowstrike’s arrival to Save the World is just a rumor, gamers should remain skeptical until it’s official. WithEpic Games continuing to updateFortnite, Save the World may get more attention in a future patch.
