On Twitter, billbil-kun, a self-proclaimed private investigator who contributes to the French outlet Dealabs Magazine, neither confirmed nor denied the existence of a PlayStation event that will take place next month. However, the reputable leakerreported in their latest articlethat Sony has seemingly teased a June 19, 2025 event in anew ad for its Play Has No Limits campaign. The video, which was uploaded recently to PlayStation’s official YouTube channel, featured a shot of a digital train timetable showing the digits 03, 12, and 2,024. Sony has hosted a December State of Play in the past, but that was in 2019, the year the showcase was introduced.

Billbil-kun correctly reported on theBlack Friday deals for the PlayStation VR2days before they were revealed. The industry insider was also spot on with their claim ofGod of War Ragnarok’s PC port being announced in May. Community members over at the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit have labeled billbil-kun a Tier 2 informant, or a source who is considered generally reliable.
PlayStation stuff is being prepared behind the scenes, billbil-kun’s said in theirTwitter post. Among these covert developments are new black versions of someaccessories for the PS5, namely the DualSense Edge wireless controller, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and the Pulse Explore wireless earphones. These new variants should be announced within a month, with the controller, headset, and earphones going for $199.99, $149.99, and $199.99, respectively, when they come out, according to billbil-kun’s report.
The Game Awards 2024, which will take place on December 12, is expected to feature plenty of announcements.
