Reddit is down right now, keeping users from accessing the site. Unfortunately for fans of the site, Reddit has had a rough 24 hours.Reddit was experiencing major problemson November 20, making it largely inaccessible to millions of users for hours. Luckily, the problems were eventually ironed out, though they seem to have reared their ugly heads yet again on the morning of November 21.
Shortly after the Reddit problems started on November 20,Reddit itself took to social mediato acknowledge the issues and promised that it was investigating the situation. Later, Reddit confirmed that the problem stemmed from a bug present in a recent update that was made to the site. The problem was seemingly fixed after some time, and the site’s functionality returned to normal.
But now Reddit is down again. Around 9:00am CT, Reddit began experiencing major problems that saw thousands of usersissue a report to Down Detector, indicating widespread issues with the site. From my own experience, I can get the front page of Reddit to load, but clicking on any posts just causes an endless loading screen. Reddit has yet to acknowledge this latest outage on social media, but here’s hoping that the problems are resolved much faster than last time.
