That trend continued withWWE 2K23andWWE 2K24, and fans will no doubt expect the same aboutWWE 2K25.
Right now,WWE 2K25is one of those games where everyone knows it is happening, even if there is not much going on around it. It’s an annual franchise, first off, but Take-Two has also acknowledgedWWE 2K25. Its recent financial report suggested it would release before the end of March 2025, which makes sense given that every previous entry was released in March. While not exact, it’s possible to narrow down the possible release date ofWWE 2K25based on past iterations.

That said, there is one possible wrench in this plan. News regarding eachWWE 2Kentry sinceWWE 2K22has come out aroundthe Royal Rumble, and the Royal Rumble (calendar date-wise) is taking place later than it ever has before. Between its inception in 1988 and the latest Royal Rumble in 2024, it has always taken place in late January. Royal Rumble now takes place on February 1. Other than it being a little jarring, this really isn’t a major change and it’s practically the same weekend as before, but it’s worth noting for any WWE news.WrestleMania 41, for example, is even taking place just a little later than usual.
Overall, it seems unlikely that the Royal Rumble taking place a few calendar days later will affectWWE 2K25, but it’s not impossible. And either way, fans can expect it to land in March 2025 on one of the aforementioned Tuesdays or Fridays.
