Summary
APokemonfan has recently designed a new past Paradox form for Walrein, a walrus-inspired Ice/Water-type monster. Ever since the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, fans of the franchise have been devising all kinds of past and future Paradox forms for different critters, amazing otherPokemonfans with their creativity.
Originally introduced as one of the newPokemon from Gen 3, Walrein is the final form of Spheal, which evolves into Sealeo starting at Level 32. After reaching Level 44, Sealeo can finally evolve into its final form, Walrein. Walrein has a diverse move set, including moves such as the Water-type Surf and the Ice-type Blizzard.
Now, onePokemonfan called BurgooKing has created Shivering Fang, a past Paradox form of Walrein. In this new form, which is greatly inspired by a prehistoric sabertooth tiger, Walrein is depicted as a huge blue creature with enormous fangs, being a pretty drastic departure from its original design. No type was defined for this new form, though, which could likely be a pure Ice-type monster, or maybe retain the original Ice/Water-type features of the original Walrein.
Past Paradox Walrein Pokemon Fan Art
Fan-made past Paradox forms for creatures that resemble prehistoric animals are not uncommon in thePokemoncommunity. Earlier this year, for example, a fan designed an amazingnew past paradox form for Fearow, which was clearly inspired by a pterodactyl. Called Fury Flier, this critter had a large body with several spikes, a long beak, and wings that resembled a bat, but it kept Fearow’s brownish colors.
Another amazing fan art shared with the community recently was Earth Fans,a past Paradox form for Arbok. This Poison/Ground-type monster still looked like a regular Arbok in the upper parts of its body, despite having some spikes. However, its tail was completely different, with distinct skin and a bi-forked end.
While mostPokemonfans who design past Paradox forms use dinosaurs or similar animals to come up with new designs, others look up to plants as a source of inspiration to create great works. For example, one fan designeda past Paradox form for Hydreigonlast year. This Water/Grass-type variant was called Malignant Bloom and transformed the otherwise draconic Pokemon into a huge carnivorous plant with several tentacles and spikes all over its body. Hopefully, other games, such as the upcomingPokemon Legends: Z-A, will continue to inspire fans to make incredible fan art and share it with others.
