These PlayStation esports tournaments will begin on December 6 and run until December 8 with the following featured games:EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Madden NFL 25, College Football 25, UFC 5, MLB The Show 24,andGuilty Gear Strive. Players can choose to participate in one or all of the games for the chance to win exclusive avatars and in-game items, with the details of each tournament found by loading up the Game Hub from the PS5 menu or thePlayStation Competitionswebsite.
Games Confirmed for the December 2024 PlayStation Esports Tournament
Each of the PlayStation Tournaments focuses heavily on the competitive online aspect of each game and often requires players to have a PlayStation Plus subscription. However, these latest bouts coincide with thefree PlayStation multiplayer weekend promotionthat also runs from December 6 to December 8. This means all fans can compete for the prizes on offer, regardless of their subscription status so long as they have access to one of the specified games.
December is a big month for PlayStation fans as Sony is celebrating 30 years since the PS1 first hit shelves in 1994. In celebration of the milestone event, there is a huge30th anniversary PlayStation salerunning on the PlayStation Store, with nearly 500 games currently discounted.
