Summary

PlayStation Plus is Sony’s subscription servicefor the PlayStation 4 and 5. In addition to letting players game online, the subscription comes in multiple tiers, which allow players to do things like play a selection of free games, stream from the cloud, or even play some PlayStation titles on PC.

In honor ofPlayStation’s 30th anniversary, the company is giving players a free weekend of multiplayer online play, starting on December 6 and running through December 8. For the entire weekend, players only need an internet connection and a PlayStation Network account to play any of their owned games online with other players for free. It’s a great opportunity to try out the service for those who have been on the fence, though the weekend appears to be limited to online play and doesn’t provide users with any free game catalogs to try out.
