For the entire weekend, players only need an internet connection and a PlayStation Network account to play any of their owned games online with other players for free. It’s a great opportunity to try out the service for those who have been on the fence, though the weekend appears to be limited to online play and doesn’t provide users with any free game catalogs to try out.

In addition to the aforementioned free weekend, Sony will also be celebrating with an eSports tournament during the same weekend, December 6-8. Winners will be awarded avatars and in-game prizes, depending on which game they competed in.
