Summary

Oscar Isaac’sMoon Knighthasn’t been seen or heard from since his solo Disney Plus series in 2022. However, a new rumor claims fans will see Moon Knight return in at least two high-profile MCU projects.

Moon Knightended with Isaac’s Marc Spector and Steven Grant (the two alter-egos of a man with dissociative identity disorder) being released from Khonshu’s service, freeing them from the ancient Egyptian moon god at the expense of the powers of Moon Knight. However, theMoon Knightfinale’s mid-credits scene reveals there is a third personality, Jake Lockley, who continues to serve Khonshu and is willing to murder without hesitation. Fans understandably believed this revelation would be explored in a futureMCUproject, but there hasn’t been any concrete news on Moon Knight’s return since the series concluded.

Moon Knight latest TV Poster

Now, scooperMyTimeToShineHellohas provided an update onwhen fans will see Moon Knight returnto the MCU. The news was revealed after MyTimeToShineHello responded to an X post featuring a GIF of Moon Knight’s transformation, positing that they may have been too harsh on the series. In response, another X user asked if fans will ever see Moon Knight again, noting that they haven’t heard any concrete news in 2 years. MyTimeToShineHello gave a short and simple answer: fans will see Moon Knight return in AvengersandMidnight Suns.

Notably, MyTimeToShineHello didn’t specify if Moon Knight would appear inAvengers: Doomsday,Avengers: Secret Wars, or both. Considering theMCU has seemingly abandoned Moon Knight, his inclusion in eitherAvengers: DoomsdayorSecret Warsmay be surprising. However, his inclusion in aMidnight Sunsproject is fitting. In Marvel Comics, the Midnight Sons are a team of supernatural heroes whose roster frequently includes characters like Blade, Morbius, and Ghost Rider, a group Moon Knight wouldn’t be out of place with.

Moon Knight’s return in a Midnight Suns project lines up with rumors that Marvel Studios isplanning a supernatural saga afterSecret Wars. However, it should be noted that Midnight Suns and Moon Knight’s return has not been confirmed by official sources. Isaac is reprising the role in What If…? season 3, but that animated series takes place in different corners of the multiverse and likely won’t involve the version fans already know.

Of course, many fans want Moon Knight to return for another solo project before he becomes part of an ensembleAvengerscast. TheMoon Knightfinale’s Jake Lockley reveal raised questions that are arguably too complex to be covered in a film that must service as many characters as anAvengersfilm and too important to ignore until a later project. So, people may be excited to see Moon Knight return for a superhero team-up (assuming the rumors are true), but many viewMoon Knightseason 2’s uncertainty as proofthat Marvel Studios doesn’t care about its fans.
