Summary

WithOne Piecefinally seeing the Straw Hats reach the fabled island of Elbaf, the final saga of the franchise is finally underway, with the Land of the Giants possibly serving as one of the most important islands in the setting. Although not much is known about this country and the arc is just in its infancy, most believe they have an idea of important moments that are currently awaiting quite a few characters.

One such character who fans are eagerly anticipating to see after so long is the captain of the New Giant Pirates and one of the few original members ofthe Straw Hat Grand Fleet; Hajrudin. This character was finally shown in Elbaf in Chapter 1131 ofOne Piece, with the series promising that he likely has a far greater role to play than what many think, so let’s see what the arc could have in store for him.

One Piece Oda Reveals Loki’s Brother hajrudin Elbaf

Story Arc

Dressrosa

Introduced in the beloved Dressrosa arc, Hajrudin was initially one of the gladiators fighting at the Coridda Colosseum in hopes of winning so he could become the new user ofthe Mera Mera no Mi. However, despite failing in his goal, he eventually broke out of the colosseum and fought against Doflamingo’s forces on Luffy’s side, eventually becoming one of the first official members of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.

From then on, Hajrudin largely went unmentioned, merely having a cover story for a few chapters. Chapter 1131 of the manga reintroduced him into the series during the Elbaf arc, where he was initially revealed to be the prince of the country, although the reason for why this is was never revealed. So, currently, it’s unknown if he and Loki are blood brothers or if Hajrudin became a part of Elbaf’s new royal family after his family replaced Loki’s when the Accursed Prince killed his own father to obtain the legendary Devil Fruit.

So, what is currently known is that Hajrudin is Elbaf’s current prince and the captain of the New Giant Pirates. Due to this, he is one of the most important Giants in the entire setting, not only for carrying onthe legacy of Dorry and Brogy, but also for potentially leading his people at the end of the arc. It is unclear if Loki is going to be a villain by the end of it, but if this does end up happening, Hajrudin will likely lead the Giants against the villain who has a legendary Devil Fruit.

In fact, Hajrudin’s role in Elbaf is almost directly tied to Loki’s own. This is because everything hinges on the fact of Loki’s true allegiance, since the fandom is divided into those who think he’s a bad guy versus those who think he’s good somehow. Therefore, if Loki is actually a hero, he will be the one to lead the Giants in the Final War, where if he dies, Hajrudin will likely take over.

Hajrudin Vs. Loki

A Battle of Giants

With everything said, the contextual proof seems to hint at Loki being a villain, especially because he called himself a Sun God who seeks to bring about the end of the world. This has prompted tons of fan theories about whatLoki’s legendary Devil Fruit even is, ranging from an incredibly overpowered Logia to a terrifying Mythical Zoan to even a reality-altering Paramecia. Whatever it may end up being, it is likely going to be one of the series' most powerful Devil Fruits.

I am the Sun God who will bring about the end of the world!

If this is the case, Hajrudin stands no chance. While he is fairly powerful on account of being a Giant, he has no notable Devil Fruit or any discernible Haki feats to give him even a slight chance against someone who is built up to be as strong as Loki. If Loki does end up being evil and the two characters eventually do have to face one another, Oda may have kept an entirely new and equally powerful Devil Fruit in store for Hajrudin to stand a chance, because if not, Loki will wipe the floor with the current Prince of Elbaf.
