What Helldivers 2’s Future Color Customization Feature Can Do to Make Up for the Game Not Having a Transmog Option
Color customization could be asatisfying feature, but one thatHelldivers 2should consider updatingonce it’s in the game. If, at launch, it only allows players to choose between a limited number of color pallets, there wouldn’t be much to tinker with. However, if it’s updated to let people use a color wheel to choose whatever decorations they want, it opens up more possibilities for creativity and ensures more time is spent on it. It could even lead to Arrowhead Game Studios updating the feature to allow the repainting of the different details in armor pieces, such as the padding, gloves, heels, and so on. Such control over color can make up for the lack of a transmog option, offering options to players in a different way.
The lack of a transmog system might setan unfortunate precedent forHelldivers 2’s customization options, but adding the ability to switch armor colors would at least be a good compromise. If updated to be more than just a simple color changer, it could become a major reason people will continue to play the game.
