Summary
Developer Hello Games has recently releasedNo Man’s Sky’s Patch 5.28, which fixes some small issues with the game.No Man’s Skyis a popular open-world space exploration game with survival elements, and the constant support provided by Hello Games is the main reason why the title is so beloved by the fanbase these days.
No Man’s Skywas originally released in 2016, and it had quite a controversial launch. Several gamers were disappointed by howNo Man’s Sky’s universe lacked depth and variety, as well as with bugs and issues when the game launched. However, Hello Games released many updates over the years, fixing the most pressing issues and giving players more content, such as the ability to build bases, play in co-op, and more, which turned the game into apopular space exploration game.
Now,No Man’s Skyhas received its Patch 5.28, a small hotfix update. According to the official patch notes, the hotfix will optimize the usage of memory, enhance the cross-save flow on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, and fix two bugs. One of these bugs would cause other players’ bases to not appear on PS4 and PS5, and the second one made multiplayer connections fail sometimes when playing on the PS5.
The new hotfix comes on the heels ofNo Man’s Sky’s Patches 5.26 and 5.27, released earlier this month. While none of these updates added new elements toNo Man’s Sky, they fixed over 20 known issues, especially concerning gameplay bugs. Examples of glitches included some ship types failing to find a landing site, graphical corruption when talking to NPCs on the Switch, problems with camera transition when saving at a waypoint, and more.
No Man’s Skyalso gained a PS5 Pro updaterecently, which allowed gamers to play at 8K or at 4K and 60 FPS on Sony’s new mid-gen console. This update madeNo Man’s Skyone of the few games to support such high resolutions on the PS5 Pro.
That’s not to say thatNo Man’s Skyis not receiving content updates lately. Back in September,No Man’s Sky’s Aquarius updateadded fishing with over 160 varieties of fish to the popular space exploration game, as well as new cosmetics and recipes, overhauled ocean visuals, and more. Hopefully, Hello Games will continue patchingNo Man’s Sky, making the experience of playing the game even better with more polish and content in the near future.
