On Twitter, Hello Games Founder Sean Murray announced thatNo Man’s Skyhad finally reached the “Very Positive” rating on Steam, more than eight years after launch. He thanked the fans for the achievement and said, “You have no idea what this means to us.” According toSteamDB, the game’simpressive Steam ratingis based on 326,122 user reviews, out of which 81.18% are positive, at the time of writing. In the comments under Murray’s tweet, manyNo Man’s Skyfans commended the resilience of the developer, with one user calling the game’s turnaround “the greatest redemption arc of all time.”

No Man’s Sky Continues Receiving Positive Reviews and Promising Engagement

Over the course of the past several years,No Man’s Skyhas not only attracted positive feedback but also experienced growth in engagement time and again. Although these recent bumps in player footfall have been nowhere near its highest concurrent player count of 212K that was achieved at the time of launch, they have shown that Hello Games has been able to roll out engaging content regularly since coming out. Its last such peak came on July 22, with 54,951 players concurrently playing the game, days after the Worlds Part 1 Update was dropped. The studio’s commitment to listening to its community even landed it among thenominees in the Best Community Support category at The Game Awards 2024.

Recently,No Man’s Skyplayers got access to new Expeditions, bringing fresh challenges and rewards to the spacefaring game. The current lineup of Expeditions is set to last until the end of the Aquarius Expedition on August 02, 2025.
