Jarad Anthony “Juice WRLD” Higgins passed away in 2019 from an accidental overdose at the Midway International Airport in Chicago just days after his 21st birthday.Fortniterecently added an area to the battle royale map to honor Juice WRLD, with a glowing figure of him approaching the island. The area is slowly being overtaken by a blue substance that makes the shoreline glow.
Epic Games is set to hosta concert inFortniteon November 30 at 2 PM ET that will feature Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, Eminem, and Juice WRLD. Snoop Dogg is expected to debut his new song, “Another Part Of Me (feat. Sting),” during his part of the concert. All four of these artists have locations dedicated to them on the Chapter 2 Remix Battle Royale map currently, with Snoop Dogg’s “Doggpound” being located at the center of the map. Each artist, except for Juice WRLD, can be recruited by the player after defeating them on the map.
During the concert on November 30, a new Juice WRLD song will debut, which theFortniteYouTube channel named “Empty Out Your Pockets.” A music video is expected to debut soon after the event. Juice WRLD’s third posthumous album release, “The Party Never Ends,” is also set to debut the same weekend. This marks the final album from the late rapper, with a cover from renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. Epic Games has paid careful attention to detail in their tribute to Juice WRLD, with many small details referencing the late rapper.Juice WRLD has his own weapon inFortnite, called Juice’s Chug Cannon, which heals players when hit. When a player picks up the weapon, a snippet from his song “Lucid Dreams” plays. His POI also plays parts of the same song as the area evolves over time ahead of the concert.
After the concert,Fortnitewill debut Chapter 6, which is said to have a traditional Japanese theme. Rumors also sayDemon Masks inFortniteare going to play a role in the next chapter as well. NPC bosses are also expected to return, along with a new demon area POI.
