TheG’Day Bait Tracer Pack is now available in theCall of Dutystore, with its skin offering players the opportunity to dress up the Operator Mackenzie Carver as a Shark while playingCall of Duty: Black Ops 6andWarzone. Although some people love this skin’s step in a more zany direction for theCall of Dutyseries, some fans have complaints.
Over the years, there has been an array ofCall of Dutyskins that have spawned player mockery. One of the most recent examples has beenWestpoint’s Dragon Knight skin, which features the character in a glowing green set of medieval armor and sporting a set of wings. In addition to breaking away from theCall of Dutyseries' traditional sense of realism, these skins occasionally present genuine gameplay disadvantages. Westpoint’s skin has made it easier for many gamers to spot her, but it’s unclear so far if players who buy the G’Day Bait Tracer Pack will have the same experience.
The new G’Day Bait Tracer Pack features the Bloke Biter shark skin for Carver, along with themed XMG and KSV blueprints, an emote, a spray, a decal, a charm, and a calling card. To hype up its release, the officialCall of Dutysocial media account posted a video showing what gameplay looks like with the Tracer Pack’s items equipped. Like some of therecent wildCall of Dutyskins, G’Day Bait has been met with mixed reactions.
Call of Duty G’Day Bait Tracer Pack Releases
G’Day Bait’s release has spawned plenty of controversy within theCall of Dutyfan base. Some players love this skin and believe that it’s a success from the developers, who may be trying to lean further into the series' sense of humor. Though olderCall of Dutygames are typically known for their edgier and more realistic visuals, recently, the developers working on the series have leaned further toward absurd looks for multiplayer cosmetics. This new skin is a great example, but other instances areCall of Dutymaps like Sandbox, which transformedModern Warfare 3into a playground and players into toy soldiers.
G’Day Bait is one of many skins that sparks a greater debate about what the fans want out of the series.ControversialCall of Dutyskinstend to make the fan base question the series' true identity at this point. After so many releases that emphasize dramatic, gritty depictions of war, the series embracing abstract looks championed by live service titles likeFortnitehas naturally been met with defenders and detractors. With skins like this drawing in so much attention, though, they are unlikely to go anywhere.
