It’s no secret that manyfans have been hoping for aMinecraftupdate focused on the Endfor years now, especially after the Nether was effectively overhauled in its very own update a few years ago. Even after more than a decade since the End was first introduced toMinecraft, the strange dimension still consists of pretty much nothing other than an endless sea of floating islands. With very few unique resources or mobs to speak of, the End offers little to reward explorers aside from the occasional End city structures, which can be rich in loot if players are able to track one down.
The End dimension’s remarkable emptiness has actually proven to be beneficial for some particularly creative players over the years, though. One player, known online as jarvis54, recently shared a project of their own that shows their progress in terraforming part of the End dimension in their world, recreating forest, desert, and even mushroom island biomes by hand. The project is complete with structures to populate these familiar environments, includingMinecraft’s desert templeand village structures, which have also been recreated manually.

For particularly ambitious players, the End’s central island has traditionally provided the perfect ground for massive build projects after clearing outMinecraft’s Ender Dragon. Terraforming the End isn’t actually a completely new idea, with many players offering different ways of approaching the challenge. One popular method involves splitting the End’s central island into many different biomes seen throughout the Overworld, essentially transforming it into one miniature planet.
For most players though, the End isn’t usually an ideal place to build. The dimension’s sheer vastness and difficulty in navigating make it a place scarcely visited by players after beating the game’s final boss and perhaps looting an End city or two for an elytra, but this might not be the case forever. There’s massive potential for the End to become a more rich and interesting part of the game throughfutureMinecraftupdates, which could potentially give the End unique biomes of its own.
