According to Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill on Twitter/X, it apparently wasnever the intention ofArcanegetting a third seasondue to the team wanting to lift the lid and explore other universes. Merrill stated that “there are more stories to tell” in reply to a question about whyArcaneisn’t getting any more episodes. TheLeague of Legendsco-creator also said that they would love to look into other types of lore if they were able to find the right angle.
