AnIndiana Jones and The Great Circledev has teased the first official details about its DLC. The game releases in just a few days, meaning fans of the franchise will soon be treated to a brand new adventure. Luckily, the game appears to be stacked with content as MachineGames recently revealed thatIndiana Jones and The Great Circleis its longest game to date. Of course, fans will eventually wrap up with the title, but MachineGames will offer at least one major reason to come back to the single-player title sometime thereafter: the Order of Giants DLC.
When MachineGames revealedIndiana Jones and The Great Circle’s release date at Gamescom, it also detailed its premium and collector’s edition content. Included in both is the Order of Giants DLC, alongside other goodies, but nothing else has been officially confirmed about the DLC since. This makes sense given that MachineGames is focused on the launch of the title, but as that nears, it seems more and more details could come trickling out. We spoke with MachineGames ahead ofIndiana Jones and The Great Circle’s launch for Game Rant Advance, and while the studio understandably did not say much about the DLC, they did confirm a few sparse details about it.
Indiana Jones and the Hidden History of Rome
Lead narrative designer Tommy Tordsson Björk told us that it would be an “exciting adventure worthy of Indy” where players “explore some of the myths that you learn about in the Vatican and find out more about the hidden history of Rome.” In other words, when players reach theVatican inIndiana Jones and The Great Circle, they’ll want to keep an eye out for these myths as they hint toward the DLC. Still, it’s an exciting prospect for players and Indiana Jones himself to be delving into this hidden history of Rome, in whatever shape that takes. In his own words, Björk said,
The only thing I can say there is that we will explore some of the myths that you learn about in the Vatican and find out more about the hidden history of Rome. It’s going to be an exciting adventure worthy of Indy!
How this DLC plays into themain story ofIndiana Jones and The Great Circleremains to be seen, but it does seem likely players will need to advance to the Vatican, at the very least, when the DLC officially launches. At that time, it’ll likely have a standalone price point, but Indiana Jones fans can go ahead and lock in the DLC with the premium and collector’s edition.
