Indiana Jones and the Great Circlecan offer a great time for fans of their favorite archaeologist. Yet, it wouldn’t be an Indy experience without Indiana himself getting into heaps of trouble against fascists and trying to solve ancient puzzles to uncover relics of the past, and it seems that punching Nazis and taking ancient relics can be quite the challenge.
Luckily for those who seek it,Indiana Jones and the Great Circlehas a myriad of difficulty settings, allowing players to choose between preferred methods of combat and gameplay, and also choose between desired options when it comes to the plethora of puzzles and mysteries that they will encounter, and how difficult they may be is determined by the player.
Players will be able to change the difficulty setting at any time after starting their playthrough if they feel as if combat/puzzles are too hard or too easy. In fact, if they pause the game and visit the HUD & Gameplay menu while in-game, they’ll be able to tweak both their Action Experience and Puzzle options to create their own custom difficulty settings, with options for things like how many enemies show up at one time, how hard they hit, and how quickly they react to Indy’s presence.
All Difficulty Options in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
The Difficulty Options inIndiana Jones and the Great Circleare labeled as the Action Experience, and players have four distinct settings to choose from. Each of these settings will aid players in their individual experience ofIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, whether they want to challenge themselves against an army of Nazis, or if they wanta classic story experience, and here are the difficulty differences:
Light
Light is the preferred setting for players unfamiliar with first-person action/adventure games, and would like the game to feel a tad easy so that they can better experience the story without the risk of hitting a death screen.
Moderate
The Moderate setting is the default and optimal experience for those who want to playIndiana Jones and the Great Circleas theintended experience from MachineGamesand Bethesda. Enemies are fairly managed in terms of health, the damage they deal with, and their spawning numbers.
Hard
Hard is for those who seek a touch of challenge due to how enemies will fight more aggressively, and in greater numbers. With more enemies, comes more trouble for those who seek it, so stealth and brutal brawls might not be the answer to every encounter, especially since a few punches serve as fatal.
Very Hard
For the veterans out there, there’s the Very Hard option, which will provide players with the best challenge thatIndiana Jones and the Great Circlecan offer. There are far more enemy spawns than normal, and patrol routes will make both stealth and hand-to-hand combat more difficult than normal, and Indy will only be able to take a few hits before being taken out for good. It’s the most realistic approach, but definitely the hardest.
For the best experience, players who are new toIndiana Jones and the Great Circleshould select the Moderate Action Experience, as it perfectly blends story with challenge, without being overly difficult.
All Puzzle Difficulty Options in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
There are two options players can choose from when it comes to balancing the Adventure Experience, which is the difficulty option inIndiana Jones and the Great Circlethat will determine how easy some of the mysteries andpuzzles are within the game. The puzzles themselves aren’t simple, but they are solvable if players put their heads together and use the clues before them.
Light is for the players who want to enjoy theIndiana Jones and the Great Circleexperience without having to sit there and think about puzzle solutions. Answers are more direct and players are guided to the solutions in terms of solving the puzzles themselves and where to find them so that Indy’s adventure isn’t halted by too many moments of quiet.
This is the standard setting for Adventure Experience, and players who select this option will be allowed greater freedom as they personally attempt to solve some of history’s greatest puzzles in the mind of Indiana Jones. Players aren’t led to direct answers, but there are clues that can be offered with the camera, and plenty of notes scattered will provide hints and clues as to how to solve each puzzle.
The best puzzle difficulty inIndiana Jones and the Great Circlewill be Moderate, as that is the intended experience for players so that they can feel rewarded and satisfied for solving some of the increasingly intense puzzles that await them within the game.
