One of the many Mysteries lurking unsolved inIndiana Jones and the Great Circle’s Vatican City is A Date to Remember, which hasIndy and the playerwracking their brains in an attempt to decipher a code to obtain some fascist-stolen loot. Yet, how does one actually solve this puzzle and get the answers they need?
Found below, players will be given the steps they need to figure out how to solve this stumping Mystery inIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, or, directly given the answer to the lockbox itself so players can put their fedoras back on, thread their bullwhip, and get back to punching some fascists in the face.
How to Solve A Date to Remember in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
A Date to Remember isa Mystery within the VaticanCity chapter, found within the Apostolic Library, an area that only opens once players start the A Nun in Trouble Fieldwork. Heading into the garden area, players can find a tent with a sleeping guard, complete with a shipment container that refuses to open without the correct code.
Within this tent, players can find three notes to aid in their search:
The first clue comes from the Calender Page, where on Wednesday, October 20th, a page marks the shipment’s arrival. This helps show players what days equate to the numbers in the cipher:
The second clue comes from the Secret Delivery Letter, which details the secret code key: DICE. However, the letter also notes that the code is wrong, and despite the shipment’s arrival on Wednesday,the code is not 4718. The same note is alsoaddressed on October 15th, a Fridayon the Calendar Page, which means players need to change the numbers to fit Ven.
Using the Code Lookup Table, players can shift the circled numbers in‘C’, ‘D’, ‘E’, and ‘I’ to the right, twice, into the Ven column. Players need to find the corresponding numbers that translate to DICE in the Ven column using the Code Lookup Table to get their answers.
