A major announcement was made recently pertaining toHunter x Hunter. It’s been confirmed thatHunter X Hunteris going on a hiatus after the release ofHxHchapter 410. This news is sad for many fans of the series, especially as they worry about another very long hiatus, with no return in sight.
However, for this hiatus, fans should worry less as this could very well be a short hiatus, based on Togashi’s current work progress on the series. This hiatus will pass by a lot more easily than previous ones.
Hunter X Hunter Hiatus Announced
The HxH Manga Stops with Chapter 410
Today, it was announced that the Hunter x Hunter manga will be going on hiatus. This means, forHxH, chapter 410 will be the last in the batch, and the final known chapter for now. HxH 410 will drop this Sunday, June 04, 2025.
This hiatus doesn’t exactly come as a shocker, as most fans anticipated that this batch of chapters by Togashi would only be 10 chapters, as the same thing happened 2 years ago when the manga returned from an even longer hiatus. Back then, Togashi dropped a 10-chapter batch, spanning chapters 391 to 400. 2 years ago, when Togashi went on a hiatus after chapter 400, he didn’t drop any new chapters for quite some time, and fans only got new content when the new batch dropped a few months ago.
This hiatus comes especially at a heated moment in the manga, where a lot of exciting events are happening. From the Heil-Ly and Morena, to the Phantom Troupe, the Kakin Princes, and so on, the story is at quite a critical moment.Hunter x Hunterchapter 410 will likely be a phenomenal chapter, with some huge revelation or event unfolding.

Togashi Dropped an Incredible Batch of Chapters
This batch of chapters that Togashi released is perhaps some of the most incredible in HxH seen in a while. Not a single chapter was a letdown, and every single one was amazing.
The story returned withHunter x Hunter401, and this chapter saw some insane revelations, specifically involving Longhi. She revealed that she is the daughter of Beyond Netero, and one of his many children. One of their siblings would even be a Kakin Prince – a Prince whom readers have still not discovered who that might be.
Then in 402, readers discovered that there was a plan underway to assassinate one of the Princes, the 7th Prince Luzurus. This would be major, and this plan has been put in place by none other than Melody and her group, all in hopes of saving Fugetsu.
In 403, fans saw one of the most interesting princes, Halkenburg, use his overpowered Nen ability,The Boy who Shoots the Arrow: Grimmel the Dissonance. Readers also discover the truth about Halkenburg’s birth. He is the son of the first Queen, and not the second.
In 404, readers saw the true extent of Halkenburg’s ability, and they saw his body die, but his consciousness survived in Might’s body. 404 was definitely a fan favorite, and set up some major events between Halkenburg and Benjamin.
HxH405 was major for Hisoka fans.The real Hisoka finally made his return. The one readers had seen previously was revealed as Bonolenov in disguise. Hisoka hasn’t been seen since, but he has a major role to play.

WhileHxH405 was a major chapter for Hisoka fans, 406 was big for the Chrollo fans. The entire chapter was focused on Chrollo as he reveals his full goals – stealing the National Kakin Treasures and a powerful Nen ability. With that, he will kill Hisoka for good.Chrollo’s determination to kill Hisoka is unmatched.
Hunter x Hunter407 started an interesting game. Morena kidnapped Borksen, a member of Tserriednich’s personal army. Morena explained the rules of a card game in the chapter.
This card game is part of Morena’s ability, and the final answer of this game determines if Borksen will join Morena, die, or be able to leave untouched.
Hunter x Hunterchapter 408 continued this game. As the two started playing, fans got to learn a lot about Morena and her past and how she is, in fact, not the real Morena but an imposter.
Special Martial Law!! The maximum alert level in response to a national threat!! With this announcement, all royal army soldiers are granted the right to shoot anybody suspicious without warning. It will be their duty to remove any armed citizens - and eliminate subversives!! — Borksen
For the final chapter readers have access to,the story concluded the game between Borksen and Morena, with Borksen shockingly willingly joining Morena, when she had in her hands a card that could help her escape her dire situation. Hunter x Hunter 410 is all that’s missing, and will be released this Sunday, possibly focusing on the Martial Law that has been declared previously.
When Will HxH Return?
HxH will Return Sooner than Fans Expect
The last timeHxHwent on hiatus, fans had to wait 2 years for a new chapter. However, this time, things might be very different. Togashi has actually planned to work until chapter 430. So far, he has finished character inking up to chapter 424, and probably fully completed chapters past 410. This means thatTogashi is not actually taking any real break right now, and he is still working onHxH.
For now, fans are guaranteed the story untilHxHchapter 430 as that is Togashi’s plan. However, he might need more time to fully complete these chapters.
As seems to be the pattern, next timeHxHcomes back, it will probably also be released in a 10-chapter batch, fromHxH411 to 420. In theory, this could mean thatHxHcould be returning very soon, in maybe two or three months, all depending on the pace of Togashi’s work and his health. But either way, fans can rest assured that this will not be a long hiatus like before, and that the story will continue on.
It’s also important to note that, unlike previous times when a hiatus was announced, the message left was not“We will be absent and will stop publishing starting with the next issue”but“The next chapter will be announced after the date is decided.”This is great news for anyHxHfan. Readers can only hope thatTogashi’s health stays goodand that he continues to work onHxHat his own pace. The next Hunter x Hunter chapter could be released in early 2025.
