Your farmhouse inFields of Mistriais where you’ll need to be every night before the clock strikes 2:00am. On a new playthrough, there’s enough room for a bed and some furniture, but if you want to be able to cook without leaving your farm or decorate it to your liking, you’ll want to upgrade it. House upgrades inFields of Mistriarequire a sum of Tesserae and a set amount of crafting materials such as wood and stone. As ofMistria’s 0.12.3 version (November 18th, 2024), there are three upgrades. It’s likely there will be more upgrades whenMistriareceives its next massive update.

Where to Farm Materials
You can find Wood and Stone just about anywhere in Mistria by cutting down trees/chopping up branches, or breaking rocks/boulders in the mines. Since House Upgrades require such a large amount of materials, it’shighly recommended you upgrade your tools. Start by getting the Silver Pickaxe or the Silver Axe from the Blacksmith, or level up your Blacksmith Skill so you can create them yourselves. Silver tools require Silver Ingot, which can be made fromten pieces of Silver Ore.
A quicker albeit more expensive way to farm Wood/Stone is tobuy it from the Carpenter’s Shop. Both materials cost 20 Tesserae a piece.
Iron Ingot

There are certain perks/skills you’re able to unlock from the dragon statue in the Mines Entrance that increase the amount of Ore dropped from nodes and enemies.
Should You Upgrade Farmhouse Before Barns/Coops?
When to Upgrade Farmhouse
You should do thefirst House Upgrade within Spring Year 1. House Upgrades 2 and 3 can be saved for later, and you’ll want toprioritize building larger barns and coops for your animals.
Expanding your living space is worth the time, effort, and money if you want somewhere to put all your decorations. If you’ve beenconsistent with the Museum Donations, then chances are you’ll have more furniture and recipes than you’ll know what to do with. you’re able to either put these away in storage chests, or you can start decorating the farmhouse.
While nothing has been stated as of Early Access, it’s likely you’ll need to upgrade your house and do Farm Expansions before you can start marryingMistria’s Bachelorettes and/or Bachelors.
