How Do Ammo Types Work In Path Of Exile 2

When using a Crossbow, thevarious ammo typesare the different skillsyou can equip on your hotbar, though they don’t function like regular skills from other classes. Your basic attack will shoot whatever ammo type you currently have equipped, and once you’re through a magazine your character will reload with the same ammo type and keep going until you reload.

Various amounts of Mana are needed depending on the ammo type you are loading, with it being spent whenever you load that ammo type. Ammo types can be loaded anytime, with you also being able to switch back to that ammo typelater and have access to the fully loaded magazine, with your Mana being drained at an earlier point. You can see the current number of shots in an ammo type in the top right corner of that ammo type in your hotbar. Pressing that bound key with the ammo type equipped will have you spend the Mana to reload.
