Minion builds focus on summoning a lot of minions at once and having them not only be the main fighters but also a shield from incoming damage to the player. When you first start inPath of Exile 2with a minion class such as the Witch, you’ll only be able to summon a few minions at once.
Even early into the game, a few minions aren’t very helpful, and you’ll need to invest a lot ofpassive skill pointsinto making them stronger, while also working towards being able to summon more at once. There are a few ways to increase how many minions you can summon at once; here’s each one and how to do it.
How To Summon More Minions In Path of Exile 2
The total number of minions you can have summoned at once is determined by the cost of each minion and your total Spirit. To summon more minions, you canincrease your total spiritand also lower the Spirit cost of a minion. Your first source of Spirit will also probably be from a Scepter, which can also come with a minion summoning spell.
The minion summoning spells from a weapon acts independently from your Spirit, and will automatically spawn as long as the weapon is equipped in your active loadout; giving you an early boost oftwo additional minions as long as you always use a Scepter. As you progress through the game, the following methods will offer more minions permanently:
Increase Total Spirit
As you progress through the game, keep checking the world map to find boss icons on the map. Should they have a plus sign next to the icon, they have a chance at dropping a consumable that will permanently increase your Spirit.
Level Up Summon Skills
Leveling up the actual summoning skills of minions will lower the total Spirit cost of summoning one, letting you summon more for the same total amount of Spirit.
Spirit Boosting Gear
Later Scepters will start to go beyond the base 100 Spirit you find on your first one. There is also a chance that a boost in Spirit is a bonus effect on magical armor.
Your total number of minions will split your total Spirit between as many skills as you choose to unlock, so unlocking too many skills right away will give you options you can’t use.
How To Manage Minion Summons In Path of Exile 2
After doing one or multiple of the options above, goto the skills menuin your inventory. Select the summon skill you wish to summon more minions from and selectthe “Set Minion Count” option. From here you’ll see the cost of all available minion skills, and can mix and match how many of each you wish to summon with your current Spirit. This count can be changed at any time with no cost or penalty, so try out as many groups as you’d like to find what best fits your play style.
