Also,make sure they’re unmarriedby checking their ‘Family’ tab, or else your efforts will go to waste. Once you’ve chosen a partner,note their location and travel to meet them. Woo Them First
If you opt for the romantic approach or can’t afford to pay the dowry, find your desired partner on the map and initiate a conversation with them. You need to start by expressing your admiration by choosing lines such as“I wish to profess my ardent admiration”or“It’s nice we can talk like this.”This starts the courting process, where you’llengage in Charm skill checks.
Wooing your chosen partner is heavily dependent on your ‘Charm’ skill level. ensure you have sufficient Charm or level up the stat prior to engaging in a romantic conversation.
Once youpass three Charm checks, you’re good to go. After a few days, speak with your partner again andpropose marriage. This triggers another set of Charm checks. Once you cansucceed on these checks, it means the proposal is accepted, moving you to the next and final step in the process.
Get Clan Leader’s Approval
Finally, to marry your desired partner after successfully wooing them, you’ll have to gain theblessing of your future spouse’s clan leader. Find and speak to their liege or the head of the family and propose the union. They’ll typicallyrequest a dowry, which you may negotiate through the barter interface. The amount can vary depending on yourtrade stat, clan level, and Charm.
Try to stack up denars early by participating in tournaments or completing quests prior to speaking to a clan leader. You can also try offering additional items like trade goods or valuable equipment to reduce denar costs. Once an agreement is reached, you’ll receive confirmation of the marriage, andyour spouse will join your clan.
You can skip the first two steps of wooing your partner and directly speak to the liege or clan leader to arrange the marriage with your desired partner. However, this will cost you more Denars and requires at least clan level two or higher to be successful.
