When you first get started inAtlyss, you’ll be able to choose between 5 different races, and with your character, you can choose their outfit, hair, tail, head, voice, and much more. Once you have all of your chosen options, including the colors for your character, you won’t be able to change it immediately.

However, there is one wayyou can change your appearancelater inAtlyssif you have changed your mind. You won’t be able to change the race of your character, but you can change its colors, hair, outfit, etc. Here’s how you can unlock the ability to change your looks.

Where to Change Your Appearance In Atlyss

If you want to change the appearance of your character inAtlyss, lucky for you, there is a location you can visit early on in the game. However, it will require getting a lot of materials, so you won’t be able to change your appearance immediately.

Visit the Mirror of Illusion

At the start ofAtlyss, you’ll arrive in Sanctum. From here, there will be a building in the middle with the World Portal and Angela, the Mystic Guardian, inside. Head to the back of this room, and you’ll notice a purple and gold mirror. Approach this, and it will give you the opportunity to peer into theMirror of Illusionto change your appearance. However, tochange any category of your looks, such as color, head, or body, it will requireone Illusion Stone each.

How to Change Your Appearance In Atlyss

Now that you’ve found the location where you can change your appearance inAtlyss, you’ll need to pick up some Illusion Stones to complete the task. There are a few ways you can get Illusion Stones, including:

Complete Dungeons With High-Level Enemies

For this first method, you’ll want tocomplete some high-level dungeons. Inside these, there are hidden chests that sometimes obtain Illusion Stones, and there are also enemies that will drop the item. Some dungeons that you’re able to visit includeVeilshade Cavernsin the Shadowglade region,Mirage Spirefound via the Skyport in Solenor City, andTwilight Labyrinthfound in Moonveil Woods. Some of the bosses here will drop the item as well, such as theEchoing Shadeboss in Twilight Labyrinth.

Mining In Magical Zones

The next methodwill require some mining, in particular Magical Zones that hold the Illusion Stones. They can be found in enchanted ore veins, though they are not very common. verify before visiting these locations that you have either aMagical Pickaxe or Runic Hammerready to go. You’ll also need to have a magic spell ready or a magical artifact to weaken the ore, such as Enchant, Dispel, or Elemental Burst.

Some spots you can visit include theCrystal Caverns(The Shimmering Expanse), found beneath the Moonlight Peaks, orLuminous Hollow(Lightmist Hills), found beneath the floating hills, or evenDreamstone Caverns(Feywilds). These locations will be the easiest to start with, especially Luminous Hollow, and will give you the chance tospot some enchanted ore veinsand break them open.

Completing Special Quests and Events

There area few different special eventsand quests inAtlyssthat can gift players with Illusion Stones on occasion. you may usually find these quests just by speaking with NPCs around each new region. Some options you have include:

Shattered Reflections is especially useful as the quest can give you multiple Illusion Stones after completing it. The same goes for Veins of Light, another quest with multiple Illusion Stones available. Special events won’t be as consistent, as you can sometimes get other rewards.

Visiting NPC Traders

There are a few NPC tradersthat also have Illusion Stones for sale. One of the easiest you may find is inSally’s Storein Sanctum, selling for 300 Crowns. Some other NPCs you can visit on your journey include:

You can also get Illusion Stones through craftinginAtlyss, but it requires you to first obtain therecipe. This can either be purchased from Velastra the Enchanter, or Sylaris the Dreamwalker. You can also find the recipe as a piece of loot in some dungeons, like Twilight Labyrinth or Mirage Spire. Then, to craft it, you will need the following items:

Once you have all of this, you will need to either visit aruneforgeor anNPC Crafter. They can craft the item for you, but for a fee. you’re able to also enhance the Illusion Stone with crafting buffs or enchantments if you’d like.
